Loathe’s new EP ‘Lambs To The Slaughter’ – OUT NOW

So that’s it folks, after months of hard work, writing, rewriting, learning, practicing, demoing, recording, re-recording, tracking, double tracking, quad tracking (there’s a joke in there for fellow recording geeks), editing, mastering and even a bit of gigging thrown into the mix for good measure, it is our extreme pleasure to present to you our latest, brand new EP by name of Lambs To The Slaughter.

Thanks to everyone who pre-ordered the Lambs To The Slaughter EP and everyone who emailed us or sent a message on Facebook telling us that they’re looking forward to the EP or even that they’ve already heard it and loved it. We appreciate it all very much! Thanks also to anyone who bought the EP on the day of the launch and everyone else who’s buying it now!

You can listen to the EP below and you can buy it on Bandcamp, just by clicking through below. It’s only €6, so it costs less than a coffee a day for a week would. Please do consider buying it; independent bands have it hard already, independent metal bands in Malta more so.

We would also like to thank anyone who’s been helpful or instrumental in any way in the making of this album including our producer David Vella at Temple Studios, fellow producer and all round studio guy Cedric Vella, Cedric Vella once again for the awesome video he directed for our single ‘Bucketlove’, Cedric’s crew, Clint Tabone for helping us out with artwork for Lambs To The Slaughter and our ever patient wives and girlfriends.

If you own a magazine, website, extreme music zine, label or what have you and would like  a digital copy of the EP for review, evaluation or whatever, please get in touch on our Contact Page and we’ll accomodate you. Cheers!

Loathe on a Boat gig videos

Last week we played a boat party gig, the band’s second so far. We played to an awesome audience alongside our Maltese metal-meisters SLIT. It was a great night and a solid warm up to our upcoming appearance at arguably Malta’s largest summer event, the Farson’s Beer Festival.

A boat made entirely of metal. Brütal!

We’re also lucky enough to have footage of almost the entire set on the boat, which we are sharing with you below. All the video was taken by John Gauci, who on the night was given the title of ‘World’s craziest photographer’. Excuse the sound, again, blame John, he likes to move around us on stage, and the minute he gets close to an amp or a cymbal, y’kow, it sort of takes over. Still, the video captures the emotion well. Enjoy, and hope to see as many of you as possible on the 25th of July.

Loathe photos from Pre Valentine 7 in Gozo

We have a bunch of really, really cool photos of the gig at the Prekursur Band Club in Xewkija, Gozo, courtesy of Cornelia Tabone, who was so good as to snap, edit and send them to us! Thanks very much Cor! Here’s a few of the most awesome ones:

Thanks for an awesome Pre-Valentine

The Pre-Valentine Massacre 7 has come and gone, and as happens every year, we are humbled and grateful for the great turnout and vibe we had.

This year we hit Gozo with our buddies Knockturn Alley, and regardless of late venue changes and other assorted annoyances, we had a great time playing at the Prekursur Band Club in Xewkija. We drank lots, and if you’re in Knockturn Alley, ran up walls.

Three days later we played at the customary Pre-Valentine venue, Remedy. Thrashers Angelcrypt dropped out due to sudden illness, and we wish the dude a speedy recovery.

The gig was great, with non-stop pits and quite a few of the Gozitans from the weekend returned and moshed along! Truly a great atmosphere, and we can’t thank you enough for it.

Here’s a few photos from both nights. They’re all by Audri, except for the Loathe and Knockturn Alley shot, I don’t who that’s by. But thanks! If you have any more pics, send away!

We also want to thank Eve at Remedy, Steve Lombardo, Matthew Natoli and the guys at Xewkija. Cheers all and we’ll see you at the Shellshock Festival on the 12th of March.
