Loathe playing Xtreme Metal Assault 2013 in Malta

Since we’ve launched our brand new EP “Lambs To The Slaughter”, we’ve been getting a bunch of questions, most commonly, “When are you guys playing live again?”

It is with pleasure that we can now announce that Loathe is playing at the Xtreme Metal Assault 2013, on the 13th July, at the Corradino Old Military Prison, Malta. We are headlining the event alongside Maltese death metal pioneers Beheaded and a bunch of other awesome bands are also on the bill.

Of course, we’ll be playing a bunch of songs from Lambs To The Slaughter as well as songs you might already know from Despondent By Design, and maybe, just maybe, some new, never-heard-before stuff too.

Stream our radio interviews right here

So last month we were graciously invited to do a couple of radio interviews by DJ Noel Mifsud, a longtime fan and friend of ours, and a vocal exponent and supporter of the Maltese music scene. We accepted right away and did the interviews with him, one on Rock Moods and another on Heatstrokes.

As good as his word, Noel gave us copies of the interviews and told us to put them online for all to hear. So here they are, in all their glory, the two interviews, back to back, available for streaming from our Soundcloud profile.

If you didn’t catch the interviews the first time around, enjoy! The interviews are in Maltese, so if you don’t speak our language, perhaps we might interest you in a review of our latest EP, or else just stream (and maybe buy), the ‘Lambs To The Slaughter’ EP itself?

Loathe reviewed on Times Of Malta – first impressions for Lambs To The Slaughter roll in!

In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past few weeks, you might have realised that we have launched a brand new EP called Lambs To The Slaughter and we’ve been manically promoting it here, there and fucking everywhere!

We’ve been on the radio twice, both courtesy of our main man Noel Mifsud, who ever so generously had us on both his programmes, and now the first impressions for Lambs To The Slaughter are rolling in!

First off the bat is Michael Bugeja, musical correspondent for the Times Of Malta and a man with music in his blood. The man has been listening, DJing and reviewing for years and he’s always been great to us, and this time is no exception!

According to Michael’s Times Of Malta review of Lambs To The Slaughter, which you can read here, the new Loathe EP is “brimming with guttural vocals and pummelling riffage that truly lives up to the band’s self-proclaimed Crushing Metal Music tag”.

Thanks very much Michael, we hugely appreciate it! Glad you love it.

Meanwhile, if you too want to review the EP, get in touch with us here, and to buy the EP, go to our BandCamp page here.

Loathe on radio programmes Heatstrokes and Rock Moods with DJ Noel Mifsud

This is us, well, two of us, Loathe singer David ‘Beast’ Fenech and bass player Mark Debono, at the AllRockMalta.com radio station studio recording our radio appearance at Heatstrokes. This radio interview, in our native language of Maltese, was done to promote our latest release ‘Lambs To The Slaughter‘.

It will be out on Monday 20th May at 20:00 CET and repeated again at midnight. You can listen to it using your DAB radio or using the power of the internet by streaming from http://allrockmalta.com/. Meanwhile, feel free to like the AllRockMalta Facebook page here - https://www.facebook.com/allrockdab

We are also going to be on One Radio, a program called Rock Moods, tonight, Thursday 16th between 20:15 CET and 22:00 CET. You can listen on your radio on the frequency 92.7FM or online from the One Radio website here -http://www.one.com.mt/.

We’ve like to thank Noel for offering us these opportunities to talk about our music and brand new EP and also to promote the band. Many thanks Noel!

Loathe’s new EP ‘Lambs To The Slaughter’ – OUT NOW

So that’s it folks, after months of hard work, writing, rewriting, learning, practicing, demoing, recording, re-recording, tracking, double tracking, quad tracking (there’s a joke in there for fellow recording geeks), editing, mastering and even a bit of gigging thrown into the mix for good measure, it is our extreme pleasure to present to you our latest, brand new EP by name of Lambs To The Slaughter.

Thanks to everyone who pre-ordered the Lambs To The Slaughter EP and everyone who emailed us or sent a message on Facebook telling us that they’re looking forward to the EP or even that they’ve already heard it and loved it. We appreciate it all very much! Thanks also to anyone who bought the EP on the day of the launch and everyone else who’s buying it now!

You can listen to the EP below and you can buy it on Bandcamp, just by clicking through below. It’s only €6, so it costs less than a coffee a day for a week would. Please do consider buying it; independent bands have it hard already, independent metal bands in Malta more so.

We would also like to thank anyone who’s been helpful or instrumental in any way in the making of this album including our producer David Vella at Temple Studios, fellow producer and all round studio guy Cedric Vella, Cedric Vella once again for the awesome video he directed for our single ‘Bucketlove’, Cedric’s crew, Clint Tabone for helping us out with artwork for Lambs To The Slaughter and our ever patient wives and girlfriends.

If you own a magazine, website, extreme music zine, label or what have you and would like  a digital copy of the EP for review, evaluation or whatever, please get in touch on our Contact Page and we’ll accomodate you. Cheers!
