Loathe

We are freshly returned from the UK where we played Bridgefest 2010 in Canning Town, London. All in all, this short jaunt was great fun. We met up with our great friends in Morgue Orgy and SLAB, as well as made new friends and fans withing the UK scene. We also had the opportunity to meet promising bands like The Dead Lay Waiting, and of course Sarah Jezebel Diva, former singer with Cradle of Filth. Furthermore, we got to play before Bristol death metal titans Trigger the Bloodshed.

You know you want one

Flying out of Malta at 7.15 AM sucks, especially given that it involves getting up at around 4. But we made it, overtaking each other on the road to the airport too.

Landed in London, as expected, met up with our man on the ground Chris and went to have some lunch, because Air Malta have a ‘fly them and starve them’ policy. Lunch involved huge portions and huge boobies, as you can see.

Went to the venue, which is very industrial and very very metal indeed. A bunch of bands on tonight, so we’ll just look on and get drunk. Tomorrow we play, alongside our friends in Morgue Orgy, and of course, death metal titans Trigger the Bloodshed.

Loathe has again been featured in the local press, this time, in Maltese language magazine ‘Mużajk‘, the name of which means ‘Mosaic’. The brief write up can be found below:

Of course, the sterling journalists of this particular publication beat us to the punch. Before we could even make it public, they broadcast to the world that the band shall now be called Beast Loathe and as of this moment, we shall be playing a style of music known as metal-rock.

Who is up for 2 days of nosebleed worthy metal from Malta’s best bands, all for the bargain price of Euro 18 and with beer and spirits selling at Euro 2? You read right!

XTREME METAL ASSAULT 2010

Loathe shall be playing this year’s Xtreme Metal Assault at the Buskett Roadhouse, alongside most of the other major metal bands of Malta, 18 bands in all! The two day event will start on Saturday 4th September with 9 bands, and continue with another 9 the day after, Sunday 5th.

Doors will open at 1700on Saturday, first band starts at 1800 sharp. On Sunday, doors open at 1600 and the first band will start at 1700 on the dot.

No tickets will be available, all purchases are to be made on the day, at the door. Band merchandise and assorted metal apparel will also be on sale?
